Maureen Dinah Poux, DMD

Creating a dental atmosphere that children feel safe,  loved, and not intimidated in the dental office is Dr. Poux’s mission. Dr. Poux feels that it is important to get to know the children, while assessing their specific dental needs. She takes her time to educate patients on proper oral health care.  Dr. Poux loves to her opinion from her young patients, what scares them, what they know about their dental health, and what their interest are. She states, “I talk to the kids making sure that I never stand over them but may kneel or sit down to  allow communication at their eye level, and I listen when they speak.” Her goal is for clear communication with parents to create a unique dental experience that leaves families trusting the dentist and eager to return.

Her professional motto is, “Providing an extraordinary dental home for children of all various social, ethnic, and medical backgrounds; and that the children grow up with positive memories and experiences at the dentist.” She had always known that she would work with children.  Working with children is a passion.

Dr. Poux was born in Cincinnati, OH and grew up mostly on the east coast.   She completed her undergraduate collegiate studies at Howard University in Washington, DC.  She then went on to attend dental school at the prestigious University of Pennsylvania School of Dental Medicine in Philadelphia, PA.
